We fully finished this basement. It was just a storage space before, now it’s a full bathroom, an amazing laundry room, a family room and a space for guest to sleep. We furred in the walls, added insulation, drywall, a lot of electrical, lights.. a beautiful drop ceiling, leveled the floor, installed LVP, trimmed it all out, including this cool new staircase, added a new entry door and painted the whole place
A total kitchen refresh! We took out the dated dark brown pine cabinetry and added new new blue and white shaker painted cabinets, leathered fantasy blue marble countertops, frosted white glass subway tile backsplash and a cool porcelain floor. We transformed her laundry closet into a duel function laundry pantry area and added new lighting throughout. A fresh coat of paint and some bees wax to the existing stained pine wood work, and this kitchen feels refreshed but perfectly at home. Lastly we installed beautiful Roman shades, they perfectly combine the colors of the kitchen and soften everything to make it homey. I LOVE love love this kitchen! While we were here we noticed that she needed a roof and the crawl space needed to be cleaned, properly insulated and a new vapor barrier installed.
This was a big project, consisting of moving the laundry to the rear of the house, enlarging the kitchen, turning a powder room into a full three piece bathroom and remodeling the main bath. All the flooring was replaced in all of these areas (and we had to add/repair/replace a layer of subfloor) as well as the baseboards and the hvac registers and swapping out two exterior doors. The French door to the dining area became a slider with blinds between the glass (allowing for a lot more room to enter and exit/get around the table and chairs) and the door in the laundry area became an outswing, allowing for the appliances to be brought in and out.
We did so much to this free-standing garage. We demolished the 1970’s paneling and fixtures, framed it out to accept insulation, re-wired and changed out the panel box, and added lighting. A gorgeous new metal roof was added including a new overhang. Then blown in closed cell insulation in the ceiling and batt insulation in the walls, as well as foundation perimeter insulation to bring it up to code. Drywall and trim were added, as well as a new sliding glass door and a new entry door. We added cabinetry and granite countertops and new plumbing fixtures. The old block chimney got refaced with stacked stone and the chimney itself was inspected and repaired. Everything got a coat of paint and then the LVP flooring went down. The exterior of the building got painted and the old siding was replaced with new. We even replaced the slab out front and installed a new garage door opener. It is now perfect for game nights for their family and friends.
